Adhese Universal Awarded 5 Stars in Clinical Evaluation

Excellent rating for lack of post-operative sensitivity, retention and resistance to marginal discolouration

Adhese Universal received 5 stars in a clinical evaluation conducted by The Dental Advisor.

The renowned US trade publication “The Dental Advisor” has given the Adhese Universal bonding system from Ivoclar Vivadent an “excellent” clinical performance rating of 99 per cent at one year.

Adhese Universal was used to place 83 direct and indirect restorations. The adhesive was used for restorations placed in all the restoration classes. Of the restorations placed, 73 were available for a one-year recall evaluation.

Results

Ninety-nine per cent of the restorations were retained after one year in service, while 95 per cent showed no signs of marginal discolouration. Additionally, no post-operative sensitivity was reported by the patients. Adhese Universal was therefore honoured with an “Excellence – 5 stars” rating by the Dental Advisor, the highest rating which the magazine awards.

Versatile and convenient

The consultants testing the product particularly praised the versatility of the adhesive, which can be used for self-etch and total-etch techniques. The convenient VivaPen dispensing system also scored high remarks among the consultants.
