Amann Girrbach’s Ceramill Sintron celebrates 10 year anniversary with Cyberweek deal

To mark the 10th anniversary of the CoCr sintering metal Ceramill Sintron, full-service provider Amann Girrbach has announced a special promotion campaign to coincide with Cyberweek. Its webshop will offer will promotions on the CoCr sintering metal and other products to commemorate the launch of material.

Amann Girrbach launched the CoCr sintering metal Ceramill Sintron in 2013, which has since enjoyed popularity worldwide with its unique properties. The non-precious metal is said to have changed the manufacturing process, as Ceramill Sintron blanks can be dry milled on in-house desktop machines such as the Ceramill Motion 3 due to its wax-like nature.

During the subsequent sintering process under inert gas flooding, the frames achieve their final state – a non-precious metal unit with a very homogeneous material structure, precise, without cavities and machinable with any common metal veneer ceramic within the CTE range. This is said to have enabled a manufacturing process that involved few steps, thereby improving the fabrication of CoCr restorations.

According to the company, data available from 10 years of market surveillance has shown Ceramill Sintron to be an established and clinically proven material. It was developed together with the Fraunhofer IFAM Dresden and validated by independent universities and accredited test labs.
