Chicago, USA – Mark C. Hutten, DDS, MS, FACP, has become an officer of the American College of Prosthodontists (ACP). Prior to being the ACP Treasurer, Dr. Hutten served as the ACP Prosthodontic Forum Director on the Board of Directors. He has had a long line of leadership within the ACP, serving as the Illinois Section President before joining the Board. Dr. Hutten has had an incredibly positive influence on the College, and is expected to excel in his new role as ACP Treasurer.
“I highly support Dr. Hutten for this position as Treasurer. Dr. Hutten is an individual of the highest calibre whose attention to detail and focus on efficiency will serve the College’s financial interests superbly. The College is indeed fortunate to have someone like Mark as an Officer and a member of the Board of Directors,” said Carl F. Driscoll, DMD, FACP, current ACP President.
A maxillofacial prosthodontist, Dr. Hutten’s experience and knowledge extend far beyond the core dental disciplines. After receiving both a Master’s degree in Prosthodontics and his DDS from Northwestern University Dental School, his post-graduate education included a fellowship in Oral Oncology and a General-Practice Residency, both at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics (ABP) and a Fellow of the ACP.
Dr. Hutten is a member of the ACP Spokespersons Network, which was launched in 2013 and now has 60 ACP members who are charged to proactively engage consumers, media and other key stakeholders in educating the public about when to seek the care of a prosthodontist. Dr. Hutten can be seen featured in this ACP video, and is featured in the Cancer Care and the prosthodontist video.
“Dr. Hutten’s commitment to advancing the mission of the college, coupled with his outstanding communication skills, and attention to detail will enable to fulfil the duties of our treasurer,” said Frank J. Tuminelli, DMD, FACP, chair of the nominating committee. “As ACP Treasurer, Dr. Hutten will provide the strong leadership and diligence needed in this key leadership role.”
