Dentsply Sirona announces three new continuing education webinars on DS Academy Campus

DS Academy Campus provides live and on-demand training on a range of topics

Dentsply Sirona has announced three new webinars for dental professionals through its DS Academy Campus clinical education platform.

The live sessions are scheduled at different times to accommodate dental professionals across time zones, with participants able to earn continuing education (CE) credits.

The first webinar, “Blueprint to smile: Full-mouth implant rehabilitation in the digital era”, will be presented by Dr John Tsourounakis on 15 Oct 2026 at 2pm EST/10pm CET.

Dr Tsourounakis is a periodontist based in Winnipeg. He earned his doctor of dental surgery degree from Aristotle University in Greece before completing a certificate in periodontics and a postgraduate fellowship in dental implantology at Louisiana State University School of Dentistry in New Orleans. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and a fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada.

The webinar will outline a digital workflow for full-mouth implant rehabilitation, from diagnosis through to provisional restoration. Topics will include facial and dentolabial parameters, soft tissue architecture, available bone and prosthetic design options, as well as prosthetically driven treatment planning.

The second webinar, “Clearly aligned: Achieving aesthetic harmony in lateral teeth”, will take place on 26 Oct 2026 at 12pm EST/6pm CET and will be presented by Dr Dimple Desai.

Dr Desai is the founder of Luminous Smiles, an interdisciplinary dental practice in Newport Beach, California, and was previously a clinical adjunct professor at the University of Southern California. She holds degrees in dental hygiene and dental surgery from the university.

The session will examine aesthetic and functional factors affecting lateral incisor position, angulation and relationships with adjacent teeth, and how alignment can influence aesthetics, function and restorative treatment planning.

The third webinar, “Where healing begins: Clinical strategies for post-extraction tissue preservation & regeneration”, will be presented by Dr Michele Perelli on 24 Nov 2026 at 1pm EST/7pm CET.

A graduate of the University of Turin, Dr Perelli lectures and has authored scientific articles on periodontology and implantology. The webinar will examine biological healing at extraction sites and approaches to managing hard- and soft-tissue outcomes, with a focus on resorbable biomaterials.

Participants will learn how to assess alveolar socket conditions, select tissue-management strategies for different clinical situations and apply preservation techniques to support post-extraction healing.
