3D printing leader Desktop Metal’s healthcare division based in United States, Desktop Health, has expanded its portfolio for dentistry, launching chrome cobalt for use in dental applications.

By using the Shop System (now available for pre-order), dental laboratories are able to eliminate labour costs and cut production times. Other key benefits include:

  • Ease of use and operation. The easy-to-use software-generated hand-removable sintering setters eliminate the need for costly and labour-intensive post-processing steps.
  • High productivity and superior print quality. Produces high-quality end-use metal parts at up to 10 times the speed and at a fraction of the cost of legacy additive manufacturing technologies.
  • Rich feature detail with exceptional surface finish. Delivers 400% higher resolution than legacy binder jetting systems and 25% higher redundancy than comparable binder jetting systems.
