A special machine, an international partnership and a good cause have brought a story that began at the imes-icore Home Event 2026 full circle several months after the event. On 2 Sep, the company handed over part of the proceeds from the auction of an exclusive milling machine featuring a FIFA World Cup-inspired design to the “Kleine Helden” Osthessen children’s and youth hospice. A further share of the donation went to charitable organisation Sparklekids Zimbabwe.
The initiative began earlier in the year, when the imes-icore Home Event brought around 150 international business partners, customers and members of the imes-icore Group team to the company’s headquarters in Eiterfeld from 18–20 May. Over three days, the event focused on new technologies, hands-on workshops, expert talks and personal exchange across the company’s international partner network.
An event highlight for a good cause
One of the highlights of the Home Event was the gala evening, which featured an auction of an exclusive CORiTEC 350i Loader PRO+ in a FIFA World Cup-inspired design. Adding to the machine’s uniqueness, it was signed by German football legend Toni Schumacher, who attended the event as a keynote speaker. A jersey signed by Schumacher was also included in the auction.
The machine was purchased by Dr Ivica Dubravica of Meddix Dental in Croatia. It was announced during the event that part of the proceeds would be donated to charitable causes. A total of €5,000 ($5,781) was donated in equal parts to the “Kleine Helden” Osthessen children’s and youth hospice and Sparklekids Zimbabwe. The latter supports children from disadvantaged families in accessing education and, through a recently launched microcredit programme, helps women establish small businesses.
From the Home Event to dental practice
Just a few weeks after the Home Event, the CORiTEC 350i Loader PRO+ arrived at Meddix Dental in Croatia, where it was integrated into daily production.
Shortly after installation, the machine was used as part of a workshop for dental technicians. The hands-on event was organised in collaboration with pritidenta, a member of the imes-icore Group specialising in CAD/CAM materials.
The machine therefore moved quickly from being a highlight of the Home Event to becoming part of everyday digital dental manufacturing, giving users the opportunity to experience real-world processes on the system and exchange technical expertise.
Bringing the story back to Eastern Hesse
The story has now returned to imes-icore’s home region. On 2 Sep, Jens Wahl, chief financial officer of imes-icore, visited the headquarters of the “Kleine Helden” children’s and youth hospice in Michelsrombach.
During a personal exchange and a tour of the site, Martin Schneider, a representative of the organisation, shared insights into the work of “Kleine Helden”. The organisation supports families whose children or family members are seriously ill, as well as those coping with the loss of a loved one.
The visit concluded with the official handover of the donation cheque. In recognition of imes-icore’s support, the organisation presented the company with a handcrafted wooden dragon, which will now have a permanent place at the imes-icore headquarters in Eiterfeld.
“The Home Event was always about much more than technology for us. It was about partnership, personal encounters and bringing people together. It is especially rewarding to see how a story that began at the Home Event, continued in Croatia and is now also having a positive impact here in our home region,” said Wahl.
Bringing technology, partnership and responsibility together
What began at the Home Event in Eiterfeld has developed into a story combining a special auction, an international partnership and social engagement in Eastern Hesse. For imes-icore, it demonstrates how innovation, personal partnerships and social responsibility can work together.
