Greenfield Dental has reported a more than 300% increase in international patient numbers since 2025, as Vietnam continues to attract dental tourists and the clinic expands its international patient programme.
The clinic attributes the growth partly to rising dental costs in Western markets. In the UK, many practices have stopped accepting new NHS patients, while private dental fees have increased by more than 20% since 2022, according to Greenfield. In Australia and the US, the cost of implant treatment is also reported to be increasing annually, making full-arch procedures less accessible for some patients.
Vietnam has emerged as an alternative for international patients, ranking as the second most popular dental tourism destination for Australians and among the top three in the Asia-Pacific region, according to Greenfield. The clinic said dental costs in Vietnam have increased by around 3–5% annually, while patients can save up to 80% on implant treatment compared with some Western markets.
Integrated care
Greenfield’s international patient programme includes complimentary remote consultations, ground transportation, accommodation coordination and multilingual support.
Treatment schedules incorporate rest days between appointments, allowing international patients to combine treatment with tourism. The clinic said around 70% of its international patients visit destinations including Ha Long Bay, Ninh Binh and Sapa during their stay.
Digital technology and patient experience
The clinic combines a hospitality-focused environment with digital clinical technologies, including CBCT 3D imaging, iTero digital scanning and T-Scan Novus technology to assess restorations and occlusion.
For Australian patient David Carver, treatment involved a full-arch All-on-6 Straumann restoration on both jaws. After receiving domestic quotes of up to $70,000, he underwent treatment at Greenfield for less than $18,000, according to the clinic.
International patients from 15 countries now account for 40% of Greenfield’s patient base, with the clinic reporting a 90% referral and return rate.
“Many of our patients say they came for the savings but stayed for the quality,” said Dr Ta Hong Nhung, founder and chief executive officer of Greenfield Dental. “We use the same international implant systems, digital protocols and standards as leading clinics worldwide. The difference is that here, patients do not have to choose between their health and finances.”
The clinic said its clinical team has experience in complex implant and full-mouth rehabilitation cases, while a dedicated patient care team supports patients from their initial enquiry through to final review, with treatment steps, timelines and costs outlined throughout the process.
