The International Dental Exhibition and Meeting (IDEM) 2022, originally held from 8-10 April 2022, has been postponed to 7-9 October in light of pandemic uncertainties.
The travel restrictions in the Asia-Pacific region and health concerns caused by the current COVID-19 Omicron variant are main reasons of the postponement.
“The decision to postpone IDEM to latter half of 2022 was not taken lightly despite receiving strong interest and bookings from exhibitors and country pavilions,” said Mathias Kuepper, managing director of Koelnmesse. “Before restrictions were tightened due to the Omicron variant, IDEM would have been on track for the in-person event in April. Ultimately, our goal as the organisers of IDEM is to bring together the Asia-Pacific dental community to experience the full offerings of IDEM in a safe manner.”
In view of the postponement of dates, all pre-show preparation will be rescheduled and the organising committee behind IDEM 2022 will update the Online Exhibitor Portal with the revised schedule. The portal will be relaunched towards the end of February 2022. The venue will remain the same, held at the Marina Bay Sands Convention & Exhibition Centre in Singapore.
