The management of the Vorarlberg-based dental technology company Amann Girrbach will now have 50-year-old Jürgen Kiesel as CEO on 14 Aug 2023. He succeeds Wolfgang Reim as incumbent CEO and Reim will continue to serve the company as a member of the supervisory board.

Kiesel, who most recently served as CEO of an international medical technology company, brings 17 years of dental experience to his new role.
“In addition to product innovation in which Reim played a leading role, my focus will be on expanding our market presence. Amann Girrbach has [advanced] digital workflow as an interdisciplinary collaboration [with] dental laboratory, practice laboratory and dental practice. Therefore, growth in our markets will form a part of my strategy,” said Jürgen Kiesel. “[With] more than 20 years of experience in the medtech industry, [I] will continue to strengthen our presence in the market to meet different needs of dentists and dental technicians.”
Hence, consistent customer orientation through product developments and business internationalisation are focal points for the designated new CEO.
Reim, who initially assumed the CEO role on an interim basis in January 2020, is retiring from the management board of the dental technology company. He is moving to the supervisory board, where he will continue to support the company with his expertise. Under the management of Reim, Amann Girrbach expanded its laboratory business and drove forward its entry into the market with dentists. Reim’s focus on a holistic digital workflow reportedly enabled him to position Amann Girrbach as a global pioneer in the field of digital dental prosthetics.
