Lively Interest in the IPS e.max Smile Award

To date, 250 participants have registered to take part in the international contest

Around 250 participants from five continents have registered to compete for the IPS e.max Smile Award 2016. The contest, which was launched in October, is now entering a decisive phase. All submissions have to be completed by February 28, 2016.

Only teams consisting of a dentist and a dental technician are eligible to compete. The teams can register at www.ipsemax.com/smileaward, where they will receive their log-in credentials. The teams have to submit a project on which they have collaborated. The restoration should include at least six units. The case must be fully documented from beginning to end with photos and a video. This will allow the panel of experts to obtain a realistic overall impression of the project.

Assessment by a panel of experts

A panel of noted international judges will assess all entries with regard to aesthetic characteristics, complexity and suitability for the case presented. The panel will select the winners. The awards will be presented on June 10, 2016 in Madrid, Spain on the eve of the International Expert Symposium organised by Ivoclar Vivadent.

The panel members are excited about their task. The highly acclaimed dental specialists feel honoured to judge the submissions. They are committed to this project and are encouraging all dental professionals to take part.

International recognition

In order to judge the entries from all continents fairly, the three best teams from the following four regions will be selected to win the IPS e.max Smile Award 2016:

  • Europe – Middle East – Africa
  • North America – Pacific
  • Latin America
  • Asia

The work of the winners will be presented to a broad public through social media, trade shows and other events, and in professional journals.
