Over a million dentists from 200 organisations based in 130 countries across the world joined together with FDI World Dental Federation(FDI) to celebrate World Oral Health Day, turning the global spotlight to the importance of maintaining good oral health.
Oral diseases affect 3.9 billion people worldwide. Philips is proudly teaming up with FDI to help reduce that number and promote the importance of oral health and its impact on a person’s overall health through World Oral Health Day (WOHD) 2016.
As you may know, World Oral Health Day is celebrated internationally on March 20 to raise awareness of the connection between oral and overall health. FDI-member national dental associations, dental student associations and other groups, organise a variety of global events to promote healthy and happy mouths and bodies.
Dental professionals can help spread the word, too! To pique awareness about the healthy mouth-body connection and WOHD, Philips is making it easy for practitioners to customise a flyer and post it in their offices and on social pages and website.
