Septodont releases new bioceramic root canal sealer

The new BioRoot Flow creates an alkaline environment unfavourable for bacterial growth

Septodont, a manufacturer of dental anaesthetics, has announced a new bioceramic root canal sealer called BioRoot Flow.

According to the company, the BioRoot Flow creates an alkaline environment unfavourable for bacterial growth, has a long-lasting calcium release essential for bioactivity and mineral tag formation, and has pure mineral formulation that is eugenol- and resin-free, minimising shrinkage, microleakage and staining.

It has a working time of more than 60 minutes for multi-rooted molars, and can be used with warm and cold obturation techniques. It is also cost-effective, having a premixed 2g syringe with 20 bendable tips.

“Clinicians need a sealer that helps ensure the myriad of cases they see will be as successful as possible. Septodont’s newest product, BioRoot Flow, does just that — it’s easy to use, allows for warm and cold obturation techniques, and provides all doctors with a successful solution,” said Paul Mondock, president of the Americas, Septodont.
