Shofu Dental to release wireless diode laser DentaLaze

Dental manufacturer Shofu Dental will be releasing DentaLaze, a wireless diode laser.

According to the company, the laser is intended for intraoral soft-tissue procedures, such as gingivectomies, frenectomies and impression troughing. DentaLaze delivers 3W constant and 5W pulsed infrared power at 808nm with a green aiming beam for better visual clarity during procedures. The diode laser is said to run continuously for 45 minutes on a single charge.

The wireless diode laser is designed be ergonomic, portable, compact and lightweight for ease of set up. Its scratch-resistant solid metal construction makes it durable and cost-effective.

The DentaLaze kit contains five single-use fibre optic tips to maximise efficiency and avoid cross-contamination, one slide-on shield to protect loupe operators, two goggles, and 50 barrier sleeves. Packets of 25 and 500 disposable fibre optic tips and barrier sleeves respectively are available separately.
