Mr. Kess recognised for his commitment to establishing public-private partnerships to advance the dental industry and his decades of mentorship to future leaders in healthcare
Henry Schein, Inc. announced that Mr. Steven W. Kess, Vice President, Global Professional Relations, and President of the Henry Schein Cares Foundation received the Lifetime Leadership Award from the New York State Dental Foundation (NYSDF). Mr. Kess was recognised at NYSDF’s Foundation of Excellence Awards Luncheon on June 4, 2016 at the New York Marriott in Brooklyn, New York, USA.
During the luncheon, Mr. Kess accepted his award in front of his peers from Henry Schein, New York State Dental Association (NYSDA) members and healthcare professionals from the dental community and addressed the importance of public-private partnerships to advance dentistry for the benefit of dental teams and their patients.
“I am honoured to be recognised by the dental community that has been such an integral part of my personal and professional life and that does so much to improve the lives of others,” said Mr. Kess. “I am most proud of the community outreach programmes that have been created to enhance access to care as a result of the public-private partnerships we have catalysed at Henry Schein to influence social change. Through these partnerships, we have optimised the skills, resources and expertise of each sector to ‘help health happen and deliver care to those in need.’ Together, we can make a difference.”
Mr. Kess has a long history of supporting public health outreach programmes on behalf of Henry Schein and is a co-founder of Henry Schein Cares, the company’s global corporate social responsibility program.
