Urbanek TMJ device announces launch of commercial operations

The Urbanek temporomandibular joint (TMJ) device and protocol announced the launch of its commercial operations in North America, offering dentists a new way to treat the 10 million temporomandibular disorder (TMD) and TMJ sufferers in the US.

Unlike a nightguard, this FDA-cleared medical device was designed to treat the root cause of TMD

“After more than 4,000 cases treated with a 95% success rate, we finally offer this solution nationwide to treat the growing epidemic of TMD. With Food and Drug Administration (FDA) cleared medical device and our training and support, dental care providers can offer patients an easy and affordable solution,” said its CEO and founder Dr Anthony Urbanek.

Developed by an oral maxillofacial surgeon with over 40 years of experience, the Urbanek device and protocol is said to be the only non-surgical, custom computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing (CAD-CAM), 3D-printed resin device that alleviates the inflammation of the TMD joint.

“It is our mission to provide dental care professionals with a system to safely eliminate TMJ/TMD for their patients without surgery or medications,” added Dr Urbanek.
