VITA AMBRIA available in more shade and translucency options

VITA Zahnfabrik has announced that its VITA AMBRIA press ceramic is now also available as medium opacity (MO) pellets in three shades. Made of zirconia-reinforced lithium disilicate, the VITA AMBRIA aims to provide a glass ceramic which provides clean and precise pressing results with excellent surface quality and true-to-shade brilliance.

The portfolio has now been expanded to include three additional press blanks in medium opacity for patient-oriented reproductions. The new MO pellets offer a natural effect with full coverage, making them ideal for veneers and crowns with a light target shade, especially on discoloured tooth stumps.

According to VITA, achieving a harmonious shade effect even if the layer thicknesses of the adjacent restorations are different is made possible due to the distinctive chameleon effect of VITA AMBRIA. The combination of this effect and the shade accuracy of the material helps to achieve an aesthetically pleasing result that merges seamlessly into the overall picture.

The pressed blanks aim to set a new standard for naturalness with great aesthetics and the possibility of adjusting the degree of translucency using the pressing temperature.
